DIY Storage Solution

This DIY Storage Solution comes in 5 parts as listed below:

1. Pocket Dividers for the advancement cards (the clear cards that get tucked during gameplay)

2. Player Component Boxes

3. General Supply and Coins Boxes

4. Player Agents Miniature Boxes

5. Miscellaneous Boxes

My Storage Solution for Edge of Darkness has 5 main groups of things going on (as seen in the pictures below)

1. Pocket Dividers

The video to help you make these pocket dividers is at the top of this page.

This is a set of 50 dividers (37 for the base game, and another 13 for the expansion) with pockets to hold the advancement cards that go with each location. This should help make setup a little faster for you.

2. Player Component Boxes

The video to help you make these boxes is at the top of this page.

Here you see 4 different boxes in each of the 4 player colors (Green, White, Red, Purple). Each box will hold the player's starting cards and guild allegiance slips. On top of those are 3 component trays to hold (1) the cardboard Agent tokens, (2) the threat cubes, and (3) the player aid tokens.*

I tried to design these boxes/trays so they can be used while playing the game if by chance you're low on table space and cant fit the provided player boards.

*The tray for the player aid tokens can hold the cardboard and/or plastic tokens, depending on your preference.

3. General Supply and Coin Boxes

The video to help you make these boxes is at the top of this page.

Here you see 2 different boxes: one for the general supply components (round marker, 1st player marker, black threat cubes, Influence/Goodwill tokens*, Reputation tokens*, and the neutral cards), and one for the coins used in the game. Each box holds 3 trays to help keep the components organized.

I tried to design these boxes/trays so they can be used while playing the game for quick setup and easy in-game access.

*These trays for the Influence/Goodwill tokens, Reputation tokens, should be able to hold either the cardboard versions or the plastic versions (or metal in the case of coins), but not both.

4. Player Miniature Boxes

The video to help you make these boxes is at the top of this page.

Here you see 4 different boxes in each of the 4 player colors. Each box will hold the upgraded Agent miniatures used in place of the cardboard versions held in the player component boxes shown above. Each box has two trays to keep things organized: one for the minis, one for the bases.

Question: Why didn't I just put the bases on the minis in the box?

Answer: Because adding the bases is a part of gameplay.

When placing the minis in the box, make sure they are laying down and not standing up!

5. Miscellaneous Boxes

The video to help you make these boxes are at the top of this page. This is the same template as the other boxes, there just aren't any trays inside.

This set includes boxes for:

  • 1st Player and Round Miniatures. (It will even hold the platic holder that came with the game, if you still have it...)
  • Location Randomizer Cards
  • Solo Mode Cards

The link above includes:

  • 12 new pocket dividers for advancements (use the pocket dividers video above as a refresher on how to make them)
  • A slightly bigger box to accomodate the new location randomizers (use the deck-component box video above to help with that.)

Guild Power Pack:

Click here to access the files for these items.

The link above includes:

  • New Influence & Goodwill Box
    • Designed to hold either cardboard or platic
    • Consists of 5 pieces: 3 trays, a base and a lid
    • Can be used by taking off the lid, or removing each tray
    • Note: Place the three trays in the base making sure the colors match, then give the box a spin for a visual treat.
  • Pit Tokens Tray for the General Supply Box
    • Since you won't need the tray for influence/goodwill, let's throw the pit tokens in there.
